Soulful Eyes

Meet our sweet little goddess of love, Aphrodite.

She's a tiny girl that we affectionately refer to as an "Itty Bitty Pocket Pittie". We can't stress this enough but, she's just as sweet as they come! She is just so happy to be in a home with love and attention soaking up what she's previously been denied.

All Smiles Now

Story: Aphrodite came from the shelter with 5 babies in tow. She was so emaciated, full of worms, heartworm positive, infections, and kennel cough when she first came to us, but her attitude never showed it. Aphrodite was Heartworm positive but thanks to Roma Alexander's generous donation, this loving dog will soon be cured of this nasty disease. Aphrodite sends tons of pittie kisses to Roma. UPDATE: Aphrodite had her treatment early september and is on the road to recovery.

Foster Situation: Aphrodite is "temporarily" fostered in a home with four other dogs. She cant stay there as the home is over their pet limit. Aphrodite needs a safe foster home as soon as possible.

Too Cute!!! | Precious Soul

Aphrodite has seen the other dogs in her current foster home and we believe that with a slow introduction they could become good friends. She has not yet been formally introduced though, because of the fact that her puppies are with her in the same setting and she needs some time to heal first.

UPDATE: Aphrodite has met 2 of the male dogs in her temporary foster home and so far has it has gone very well. We will have further updates as they all are around each other more and more.

UPDATE: She has now met all 4 other dogs in her foster home and gets along with everyone.

Aphrodite is great on the leash, in the yard, and loves to go on walks to see the world. She wags her tail at every passerby and begs for any attention she can get. Aphrodite either sleeps in her kennel or on a futon at night; she is quite happy regardless the situation.

Soulful Eyes | Such a love!

Training: Aphrodite is housetrained!!  She's had no messes for the past 4 days!  She hated the idea of being in a kennel the first day we got her but now will go in her kennel on voice command. She knows how to sit and will be taught more tricks the better she feels. She is incredibly eager to please and can be rewarded by simply giving her love.

Personality: Aphrodite was pretty calm when we first got her, but as she gets healthier it seems that she really does have quite the puppy personality. She is very sweet and wants to cuddle but will also easily partake in playing around. She seems to be ok with the other dogs in the house but will bark at dogs passing by. I think she would be great with a slow introduction. She seems to be very gentle around kids and as long as she is with a human companion she can be happy doing just about anything.

So Sweet | Eyes that melt your heart

Best Attribute: Aphrodite has such a sweet disposition about her and just loves to be around anyone. Her little butt wiggles whenever anyone comes near her are just to die for. Her eagerness to please makes her an easy girl to train and be around. As Aphrodite starts to feel better and show her true colors we will update her information.

"Will YOU love me?" | "Please? I'm such a good girl!"
