"Atlas" means to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders and that's what this gorgeous boy has done.
Atlas was confiscated by animal control in a city where pit bulls are banned. He was removed from the only home he knew, simply because he is a "pit bull", and sent to a shelter to die. Because Atlas is such a wonderful dog, the shelter decided not to euthanize him right away but give him more time.
Good Looking Boy | Standing | Laying in grass
Atlas is such a cuddler that it was hard to get him to step away from the volunteer for his photos, so I ended up just going with it and thinking that at least it'll show how fond he is of people.
Atlas is a sweet-natured Pit Bull who loves to cuddle. He's very friendly and a big ham who just craves attention. Atlas is 2 years old and he's been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. He has a pretty gold and white coat and beautiful eyes. He weighs 51 lbs.
What a hunk! | Relaxing in grass | Gorgeous eyes | Goofball
Atlas keeps his kennel clean and appears to be housetrained. He gets along with other dogs, and could do well in a home with a friendly female.
