Nov. 5, 2008 UPDATE: Bamboo is now 7 months!

Hope that all is well in the fine city of Kansas.

Just wanted to send you an update on our little boy.

Bamboo is doing great. Had a check up at the end of Oct and was diagnosed with round worm and localized mange. The round worm has been taken care of and Bamboo is now on monthly dosages of Interceptor. Due to his location and breed, our new vet thought that it would be a good idea to keep him on it all year round.

As for the mange, the little spots we think we caused by stress - moving, tapeworm, roundworm, new parents, new location etc. .... They have already begun to disappear and we have him on meds as well as herbal powder recommend by our vet to boost his immune system.

Since then, everything has good. He is gaining weight and looking healthy. Spends a lot of time sleeping as puppies do and is enjoying our walks and interactions with other dogs at friends' home and at the dog parks here in the city.

Have sent some new pics of our little man which I took yesterday. He is getting cuter by the day.

Good Looking Baby Boy

Adorable little Bamboo, along with his sister Panda, showed up uninvited to a garden party. Lucky for them, guests at the party were Pit Bull lovers and they immediately contacted MPR.

We've taken them in the program and placed them in foster care.

Bamboo is sweet and friendly. Neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Bamboo is said to be an easy-going pup, very loving and no trouble at all. His unique coat color and marking is very attractive and look at those eyes....

Foster Situation: Bamboo is in a foster home being socialized, learning good manners and how to become well behaved family companion.

Personality: Such a cute boy but not much of a cuddler yet; however, he follows who he is interested in!!!

Best Attribute: Bamboo/Boo is a very sweet, friendly puppy. He has the warmest green eyes and is very submissive to other dogs. He wants to be accepted throughout the house and definitely lets my other dogs know. Bamboo does have some energy. He enjoys playing with his sister Panda but really likes to play hard with my other female dog. He is enjoyable and the looks he gives when he's telling you sorry (for chewing your heels) are priceless. Those warm, sweet comforting green eyes will get your heart every time. He is such a sweetheart. Bamboo is learning to pace at the door to let you know he needs to go out. It's not perfect to the tee; however, everyday gets better and better. I will miss him, but if there is someone looking for a fun, outgoing puppy to make their own, Boo is the guy to hang with!!!!
