    Precious Boy!

Bazooka Joe was pulled from a local shelter where he was out of time. We understand he was surrendered by his owner due to eviction/foreclosure. Despite everything he's been through, he is always happy and oh so very sweet!

He has an old injury in an eye. We believe he is blind on that side.. He doesn't care. Who needs 3D vision, anyway?

    Bazooka Joe

    Good-looking Boy!

Foster: Joe-Joe spent a few weeks in a foster home with a 2 year-old female Doberman and 2 kids (13 yrs and 9 yrs). He did great with everyone!

There was no fenced yard in his foster home so daily walks were his means of exercise. Joy loved car rides and to run errands with his foster mom. He did GREAT in the car. Fairly well on a leash too...

He loved to sprawl all over his foster moms bed and even found his way up the pillows sometimes.. sadly, Joey lost his foster home recently, due to landlord issues. He though he had it made... He is now back in a cage in boarding and is DEVISTATED...

Training: Bazooka Joe knows sit; However, he pretends like he doesn't sometimes... until you show him a treat...then his memory returns real quick! He does come immediately when called. He is both crate and house trained.

    Standing | Beautiful Bully Smile!

Personality: Joe-Joe is not a high energy dog at all, which is surprising for his age... He likes to play outside a bit, then just lies on the deck and chill. An apartment situation could work for him as long as he gets a walk each day! We think Joe-Joe would do well in any situation.

Joe-Joe is very outgoing... He loooooooves people.

He rides in the car with his head hanging out the window watching people walk by... Never barks or anything... Just sits and wags! He's silly all the way!

He gets tangled in his leash every time we go outside and tries every which way to untangle his feet and finally just rolls onto his back and kicks himself free from the massive bondage he has created! He's a clown!

He is not naturally rambunctious. He will play and jump around if you initiate that, but otherwise, he's pretty much a couch potato. Joe-Joe is a very cuddly boy. He is big already and is going to be much bigger when he fills out. He is not happy when he is resting unless some part of him is touching you.

Joey is very behaved but he is a puppy. Best to leave him in a crate when you're not home, or like any normal pup his age, he might find something to chew that might not need new carving...

He has no food aggression... you can pick his bowl up mid-mouthful and he just looks at you like "please?"

We can't stress enough about how much he LOVES the kids! My 9yr old is his best buddy. We had company this weekend and the 4 yr old decided he was a horse and actually rode him around... Joe just walked and wagged and loved the attention. Joe loves visitors and greets them with no barking or jumping. Joe says "more people to rub my belly! Yes!"

He's somewhat calm... He is either on the couch or sleeping beside Bella if she is crated. He's a very easy going kind of guy.

He does not necessarily go in, but once in the crate he just curls up and rests... No objections or barking. Joe-Joe is on the LAZY side, especially for being so young...

The steps that go down to the basement are a little steep and if I go down there he just lays at the top of the stairs and whines... but he's not going down THERE! He's very much a couch potato...or floor potato...or bed potato...or wherever... A lap potato!

While on the couch next to a loved-one, he's in absolute heaven. Sometimes I come downstairs and see him on the couch and just my son's legs sticking out from under him and muffled giggles...

Best Attribute: Joe-Joe enjoys life so much! He LOVES to ride in the car and stick his big goofy head out the window the whole way. I drive a 2 door coupe...my back windows are stationary...they don't open...so of course, this means he must hang his head over the back of my seat and out the window that way from the backseat. Gotta love it...riding down the street with a big goofy blockhead coming out of my shoulder... People wave and honk and he just cheeses at them... I pretend I don't hear or see.

Joe is a lover... he is adaptable...Easy to please.... Loving and entertaining. Calm and easy-going..... As long as you got a couch and time to cuddle, life is good!
