Foster Situation: Big Deal is currently living at MPR's mini-shelter. He is such a good boy, hardly barks at the other dogs even when they taunt him. We are not sure whether he gets along great with cats, but does not appear aggressive toward the other dogs living in the vicinity. Big Deal is not hyper or rambunctious like some dogs; he is rather calm and simply wants attention from any person who will give it to him. He loves just laying around and having his tiny ears and belly rubbed. It is possible he would make a good couch potato, but would enjoy a long walk or a game of fetch here or there.
Irresistible
Training: Big Deal is responsive to commands, and willing to be trained. He already is able to sit on command when rewarded with a treat. He is also crate trained, if need to be in a crate; however, he would much rather be out in about with people getting a good rub.
Ball Loving Boy
Personality: Big Deal has the personality fit for anyone, whether it is a family, couple, or single person home. Big Deal is incredibly friendly and obedient; rarely does he bark or whine while in his crate. He is a dog that you could take on a walk around a few blocks and then lay with the rest of the evening on the couch. Anyone who meets him says he is such a "ham"; he loves attention but does not jump all over you to get it. You immediately want to smother him with belly rubs and hugs because he is such a sweetheart with such an adorable face. Just looking at him makes you happy; he always looks like he has a big smile, and never seems scared or withdrawn around anyone-new or familiar. Anyone can get a good laugh when watching Big Deal run after a ball or down the stairs with his short legs he has a funny run.
Love-a-bull
Best Attribute: Everything about Big Deal makes people fall in love with him, which is what makes him a "big deal." He truly is an amazing dog and such a great ambassador for the pit bull breed. He ultimately debunks any myth that is said or believed about pit bulls. All Big Deal wants is someone to love and to love him.
