Foster Situation: Bluegrass is in a foster home with a large fenced yard and other dogs. He goes on leash-walks everyday as well as run in the fenced yard. Blue is very strong and can pull hard on a leash, though he has greatly improved with training. He knows the "heel" command and will respond if given. He rides very well in the car and wants to sit in your lap :) Blue sleeps in his kennel at night.
Bluegrass gets along with friendly females that can put up with his great enthusiasm for roughhousing. When not playing with his foster sister, Blue is usualy crashed on the couch, preferably on someone's lap if possible.

Training: Bluegrass is totally crate and housetrained. He knows sit, leave it and heel. He will try and get away with everything so he needs strong leadership. He is very intelligent and learns new commands quite quickly.
Personality: Bluegrass is a 75 lb lap dog. He truly has no idea how big his is. His favorite place to be is curled up on you or next to you. He's very cuddly and constantly wants to be petted. He's fairly laid back - but likes to do a couple butt run sprints around the yard a couple times a day. He's not very good about slowing down and he comes zooming up to you so you have to be careful he doesn't run you over :)
Bluegrass MUST have a strong leader. He follows the No-free-Lunch program in our home and is very successful with it.
Bluegrass is good with children although he doesn't know his own strength so he needs to be supervised so he doesn't accidentally knock them over.
He will destroy almost any toy and prefers to chew on nyla bones.
He rarely barks and greets everyone with with a wiggle butt and big kisses.

Best Attribute: Bluegrass is the epitomy of a big teddy bear. Don't let his intimidating looks fool you. This guy would be the world's worst watch dog. He lives to get loved on and be near people. He might do well in a home with a submissive female but for sure would do well as an only dog so he can have all the attention! He will immediately capture your heart as he has ours.
