This boy's great personality, good looks, and happy attitude caught our attention at the shelter. While most dogs are traumatized by their experience in a high kill shelter, Mr. Bojangles seemed to think it was just another adventure to take in stride. He was all wags and kisses with anyone walking by his cage and his spirit seemed unbreakable despite his situation.

His friendly demeanor stood out so much that we decided to make him our next rescue dog if we could. His final date was coming fast though, and we thought we would never be able to rescue him in time. Thankfully we placed one of our dogs, so we were able to make room for Mr. Bo who became another lucky one saved on his last day!

Bojangles is a very friendly boy who loves to give kisses. He is confident, outgoing, well behaved, and comfortable with everyone. He should do well in a home with kids and perhaps another friendly female dog. He does not like cats however and will need a home with a secure fenced yard.

Unfortunately, Mr. bojangles tested positive for heartworms. It is a low positive that will not have any long term effects on his health once treated. We want to save his life but will need help with the cost of his treatment ($200.00). Even if you cant adopt, you can still make a difference in the life of those dogs. UPDATE 05/05/04: Thanks to generous donations, Mr. Bojangles will be treated for Heartworms ASAP and should be ready for adoption soon.

UPDATE 05/26/04: Bo has been transferred to a foster home and was successfully treated for heartworms. He is now ready for adoption and hoping for his chance at happiness.

Bo is housebroken and crate trained. He gets along great with the female dog in his foster home. His foster family says that Bo is very loving and affectionate, and always happy to see people.

Bojangles is a very good looking boy, with even cropped ears and a gorgeous brindle & white coat. He is stocky, big boned, and has a beautiful head. He is very easy-going and doesn't seem to let much bother him. Mr. Bo is a well balanced dog, with a great personality and a very friendly disposition.
