Burger is a real hunk and a super dog. He was rescued from a difficult situation thanks to the ‘No More Homeless Pets - Pet Uplift Program. He has been tested with other dogs and seems to be doing fine. He is neutered and vaccinated and his deep wound is sutured. He is amazing. I believe he is an AB who needs to put on a lot of weight - he is too thin. He is very young, probably under a year. He is going to be a big, strapping hunk when he fills out!!!

Happy Face

Burger needs a FOSTER Home, please!

Handsome | Gorgeous Eyes | Sleeping | Sitting | Stunning

Burger is currently in boarding and in need of a foster or adoptive home. He is such a good boy and is patiently waiting for his turn to be in a home and loved like a "real" pet! He is so eager to please and loves any attention he can get. He is also a pretty mellow boy, he enjoys going outside in the yard and romping around with a big green ball he now likes to claim as his own, but after about 5 minutes of waltzing around he clearly shows he would be much happier to sit next to you and get any kind of loving you have to offer.

Being an American Bulldog and knowing this breed can be pretty stubborn, Burger is about as easy as they come. He is responsive to commands and is pretty eager to please. He seems to have possibly been abused and will shy away if he sees any quick movements, but after just a short time of knowing him he will quickly realize this is not going to happen anymore and will just roll over for belly rubs to soak in any attention he can get.

Burger is a little on the submissive side when it comes to humans, but seems to be a little more dominant when he is around other dogs. He hasn't had any off leash play time with any other dogs yet because he let us know he would prefer to get to know his 4 legged friends a bit better before he is ready to play with them. With the right female and understanding owners, Burger would most likely be able to live harmoniously with another dog.

Burger is such a lovable guy, he has a goofy personality, calm disposition and is always so happy and laid back. Burger is patiently waiting for someone to see what a charmer he is and bring him into their home so he can live a long happy life with a family all of his own.

A Note from Burger: I've been hanging out in boarding waiting for a foster home...or, even better yet--a forever home! I'm a goofy lil guy that will be a great addition to your home, I just know it!ญญญญ I am learning some basic commands while I am here, but I'll tell you a little secret: I'd learn even more if I was in a home! I am motivated to do my best to please humans, and oh boy, if we were around each other all the time I can't imagine all the training I'd get and how much I'd learn! I love to play fetch especially with my favorite green gorilla ball. Once I get it, it has the perfect hole in it where I can get a tight hold on it and romp around the yard with it in my mouth like the goofball I am! I'm still working on getting some more weight on me. I eat and then play and play! At night, I dream of the day I'll be doing all this in a home. Until then, I count my lucky stars that I am safe and warm and fed here in boarding. Whew, this is such a wonderful place compared to the situation I was in before. Some of my friends here have found their foster or forever homes, and when they do, I listen carefully to what the humans talk about. It just sounds too good to be true! I started meeting some of my orphan sisters outside in the back yard, we just play through the fence right now, I just don't like when the humans are paying attention to them and not me, so I have to admit I get a little jealous at times. I keep trying to remember that the humans still love me even if they love another dog too. I think I can make an exception and share my attention with another doggie sister, it might be kinda nice actually!
