| Story: Caelyn was rescued by Humane Society of Missouri from a dog fighting bust in Missouri last October, 2007. She was rescued along with 25 other dogs and her litter of pups. Despite her horrible past she is an incredibly sweet dog with so much love to give.
The Humane Society contacted experts from the West Coast to come evaluate the dogs. Caelyn passed the temperament evaluation with flying colors. In fact, she rated one of the best, hence why MPR picked her. Sadly, we only had room for one dog - We reviewed the report from the evaluator and decided that out of 26 dogs, Caelyn was the best one for our program.
And we were right! Caelyn has proven to be a wonderful dog with all the great qualities of the breed and the promise to be an outstanding family companion.
Life has definitely changed for this sweetheart. She now has a chance to be happy and loved.
Foster Situation: NEEDS A FOSTER HOME
Caelyn is currently in boarding and in dire need of a foster home or a forever home.She would love to be in a house with no other animals, but may be able to make an exception for a nice male.
Caelyn loves kids and really shows her patience when she is with them. Be aware ... she won't hesitate to give the little ones kisses!
Caelyn is still learning to trust the car, she was pretty scared the first time she rode in one. She thought she had to duck when we went under all the overpasses!
Caelyn does well on a leash - Our volunteers take her on walks a few times a week and she loves it! Caelyn would love to be with someone who wants to go on long walks, followed by cuddling sessions on the couch. Her two favorite things!

Best Attribute: Caelyn posses all the best the breed has to offer. Much prettier in person than her pictures, she is sweet, loving, well behaved and she loves everyone. Great with kids, rock-steady temperament, wonderful disposition, Caelyn is on the small size, great for cuddling... Really, what more could you ask? Also, remember that Caelyn craves love and after the difficult life she left behind, we can only imagine how grateful and attached to her new family she will be.
