Breed: Pit Bull

Sex: Female (Spayed)

Age: 8 to 12 weeks

Weight: Growing

Color: Red Brindle

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with cats: Yes

Nicknames:

Callista is a Greek originated name meaning "most beautiful" and we couldn't agree more! Talk about a precious sweetheart!!

This gorgeous little girl as pulled off deathrow just in time. Callista is a sweetheart of a little pup with a sooo much love to give.

8/14/2006 - A Note from her foster mom:

Callista is doing really well with her crate training. She will cry when she has to go out and only potties in there if you don't get her out quick enough. Also we have been leaving her crate door open when she isn't in there and she is starting to put herself in there when she is tired to go to sleep. She rides very well in the car and almost always falls asleep after a few minutes. She is riding in a carrier so she doesn't run all over when you are driving.

She loves my big dog and plays well with my parents Shih Tzu as well. She gets up and down stairs very well all by herself. She's scared of loud noises and cars at this point although I'm trying to get her more used to them .She's still a bitty baby though and cries when she is scared or tired and wants to be picked up.

8/21/2006 - Another update from her foster mom:

Callista seems to be growing so fast, although she's only 7wks! She is becoming more inquisitive and ventures farther away each time we go out. She is enjoying being outside much longer now and pretends she doesn't hear you calling her when it's time to come in :) Her new favorite thing to do is investigate under the bed. When you pull up the bedskirt she's hunched down under there looking at you like "go away you're ruining everything!". Yesterday afternoon I saw her first little butt run when she was playing out in the yard with my dog. It was so cute!
