Story: Charlie was given up by his family because he barked at other dogs. Charlie was taken in by a hoarder. While at the hoarders he was crated 24/7, for 2 years. His crate was in an outside barn. Charlie had urine burns on his tail and a sore on his butt from sitting in his own urine/feces. He was extremely skinny and had given up hope. Charlie has had surgery for polyps. There is always a possibility the polyps could return. If they return they would have to be removed by surgery.
Foster Situation: Charlie is fostered in a home with 5 other dogs. Charlie does well on leash walks and loves riding in the car. He is crated when we aren't home and at night he sleeps with us in bed. He needs a home who can manage is energy. He will also need structure and rules.
Training: Charlie is housebroken and crate trained. He knows the commands sit and off. He is very food motivated so training would be very easy.
Personality: Charlies is very outgoing. He loves everyone he comes in contact with. He has never met a stranger. We don't have kids but Charlie seems to do fine when meeting them in public. Charlie can be very high energy. When he starts acting rambunctious we let him outside. We have an acre fenced and he runs crazy circles, then he comes inside and goes to sleep. Charlie loves a good cuddle on the bed. Charlie is very vocal, he moans and groans all the time. He is also afraid of storms. He does have a high prey drive, so no cats. Charlie would do best in a home as the only pet so he can soak up all the loving and attention.
Best Attribute: It is amazing the trust and love you see in his eyes when he looks at you. He loves life and is so excited to be living. He does a doggie tap dance when he is excited. It is so cute.
