Tess is welcomed to stay in her foster home for the rest of her life if needed. However, if she did find a new loving home, it would open up a spot in MPR's program and allow us to save another dog.
To say that Contessa is grateful is an understatement. If this dog could talk, she would probably spend the rest of her life thanking her guardian angel. Losing her home of 9 years was hard, but she knows she has fallen in caring hands this time, and she will never suffer outside again, scared, hot or cold and heartbroken.

Foster Situation: Tess is fostered in a home with a single woman, two adult pit bulls and one puppy. Tessa is kept separate from the adult dogs as they do not interact with unfamiliar dogs. Tessa spends time with the puppy and is an awesome mommy figure.
There is a large fenced yard in her foster home and Tess enjoying lounging outside on the porch when the weather is nice. She is very much a home girl though and prefers hanging out in the house
She loves car rides and enjoys going on walks. Very laid back dog, so loves to just lay at your feet or with you on couch.
Training: Tess is good on the leash. She knows sit, stay, and comes when I call her. She is perfectly Housebroken & crate trained. She actually loves her crate (large wire crate). Tessa is very eager to please and responsive.
Personality: Tess is mildly reserved with strangers but she warms up quickly. She soon shows her silly, happy side. She is very well behaved and loves to cuddle. She barks a little Bark when she sees someone out of fence, but just enough to let me know someone is out there.
Contessa is laid back. Just happy to have her quilts to lay around and someone who loves her. Lets you know when she has to go out to potty. Then comes back to the door to get in and chill out some more. She likes looking out the window. But then goes back to lay down. Kind of like she is just checking things out outside She likes to lay on the porch in the sun if you are out there with her.
Best Attribute: Her calm and laid back personality. Her whole loving self... Her sweet eyes and gentleness... Her beautiful heart.
