How Can YOU Resist That Sweet Face?
Foster Situation: Ella Mae is doing extremely well in her foster home. Ella's foster home includes a 2½ year old male Pitbull, an 18 month old boy, a mom and a dad. Ella is receiving lots of socialization and does really great with everyone. She had trouble jumping up when greeting us at first but is catching on quickly and doesn't jump up much anymore. She has a very large fenced yard to romp around, run and play in. She sleeps mostly in her kennel, but has slept in the bed with us a couple times but it gets kinda crowded! Lol!

Training: We are teaching her how to stay, lay down and "no jump." She is housebroken (for the most part) and fully crate trained and we're working on obedience training. She is very responsive and learns quickly.

Personality: Ellamae is outgoing and very rambunctious once she gets comfortable but a little cautious in new surroundings. Aside from having to take her out to potty often, which is simply b/c she is a puppy still she is very easy to care for. She's very cuddly and loves the lap life. She's well behaved and can get up and play with you on a moments notice, but is also perfectly content to curl up on the couch with someone and snuggle. She enjoys have kids around and we're working on teaching her not to jump up on people. She is full of energy but is very happy to just lay around on the couch. When she is playing with our other dog we have to watch them to make sure the energy level doesn’t get too high though. She is submissive to our dog Rollie sometimes, but has no trouble telling him she has had enough. So far, she seems to be on the lower end of the prey drive spectrum. Ella Mae is determined because when she wants to be where I am or my husband is, she can climb/jump the baby gate with no problems and just goes about her business. The way she turns her head to the side when she hears something is soo sweet! She isn’t startled easy nor does she have to go check everything out which is good as there are all kinds of noises with a 18 month old toddling around.
Best Attribute: She would be the happiest girl alive as long as she had a lap to cuddle on and someone to give her lots of luvin. When she looks up at you for loves with that sweet innocent inquisitive face you just have to love her! She is also a big fan of giving kisses. If she had it her way she would be literally laying across me and having me scratch her belly, which I, as her foster mom, just love!
