Story: Elroy happily walked up to a MPR volunteer that was helping a low-cost spay-and-neutering organization pick up pets that needed to be fixed. Looks like he wanted to be done too ;-)
Our volunteer asked the people around if they knew or had seen the dog before and all of the people said they had no clue who owned the dog or where he came from. Everyone seems to be seeing him for the first time. So this lucky little man was invited onboard the volunteer's truck for a ride back to the spay/neuter facility. Since Elroy was found as a stray he was automatically scanned for a microchip and when one was not found, paperwork was drawn up for him to get neutered and receive all of his vaccines and get vetted. The next day Elroy officially joined our program for adoption.
Foster Situation: Elroy has just been moved to a foster home with a female Pit Bull. They have not met yet.
Training: Elroy knows how to sit and is working hard to learn other commands, such as lay down, ect... He is also working on learning how to walk properly on a leash and is off to a good start. Potty training is coming along and is going rather well so far. He shows quite a willingness to learn and looks to you for guidance.

Personality: Elroy is super sweet! From the first moment our volunteer laid eyes on him, he has been nothing but super friendly. He still has some puppy in him and therefore has energy to burn but he is not hyper by any means. Just lively and playful. He is also a good cuddler and rides well in a car. He didn't show any aggression when he was given a bath, even though he clearly wasn't very thrilled with. After he figured out there was no escape from the tub though, he calmed down and accepted it. He is an all around great guy.
Best Attribute: Elory's best quality besides how friggin cute he is in person, is how he is a great combination of fun-loving energy and laid-back attitude. This guy is anything you want him to be - He wants to please his person the best way he can and is super responsive to treat rewards when he has done a 'job well done'.
