Three days ago we adopted the most wonderful animal and I'm not sure who to thank first! To all of you who spend so much time away from your own families and animals to help these babies, God bless you! To Diane, I want you to know how thankful we are for you. Bringing Fankie home with you so he wouldn't have to stay at the kennel was so nice and thank you again for meeting me halfway to pick up Frankie. I appreciate it so much, he was such a good boy all the way home, he did really good. For Peggy, thank you for helping match us with the Frankie. I don't think anyone could have hand picked a better dog and ultimately to Suzanne for rescueing an angel that otherwise would have never had a chance. As for Frankie, I'm not even sure where to begin. It feels like he has been here forever.

He plays with Daisy wonderfully! He minds well and we have figured out how to get him to not pull when he is on a leash. He doesn't seem to be interested! in balls or toys right now but I think that has alot to do with him having Daisy to play with. All in all, working with all of you has been a wonderful experience. I can't thank you enough. I will send pictures of them togeher soon. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

UPDATE - JULY 17:
|
Hi Everybody!

Just wanted to give you an update on Frankie. We've decided not to change his name. He minds well and answers to it, so I don't see any reason to change it. Besides the fact that I think it fits him perfect. He has nestled his way into our family and our hearts. It seems like he has been here from the time he was a pup. He likes the water and listens when you ask him to do something. We sit on the porch in the evenings and let the two of them play in the yard. He lets Daisy be the boss and rolls over for her most of the time. I think he simply loves the attention and the interaction so he is willing to do just about anything for it. They aren't really that rough with each other. They chase one another all around the yard, and lay together in the grass, licking each other's ears and faces. Daisy seemed a little sad when I paid attention to Frankie, but she has figured out that Dad can rub her belly just as good. Now when I love on one the other goes to Michael, and even trade places with each other a couple times before Daisy bolts for the yard and he is hot on her heels. Our experience with him so far has been wonderful, and I can't see that changing at all. I don't have a digital camera but we have taken some really good pictures of him and the two of them together. He will finish the roll this week and send you some shortly. Again, I can't thank you all enough for such a wonderful blessing.

P.S. The 4th of July was not his favorite day he hates fireworks so me, him and Daisy sat in the basement and watched them on T.V.

Sincerly,
Ivy

Friendly Boy

Those baby blue's will melt your heart... Franky is a very fun-loving, smart, eager to please, happy boy who found himself in a high kill shelter in Kansas. One of our representative could not resist his charm, and Frank Sinatra is now waiting for a new home in our program.

Franky loooooves interaction with people. He's an energetic boy, always eager and ready for a good time. He would be an excellent candidate for obedience training. He thrives on attention and does everything in his power to be loved and accepted.

Those eyes....

Franky might have been someone's pet before and he is not very thrilled with kennel life now. He wants to go home! That said, he is improving everyday, showing us that he can be a very good boy so we help him find a new family as soon as possible.

Frank has not been introduced to other dogs yet, but he shows no aggression through the kennels. He seems interested in making friends, but he also appears to be more of a "people-dog". He could probably live with a friendly female.

Frank is a very good looking boy. His coat is a dark deep red and he is very well proportioned. Those eyes are simply stunning.

Frank loves attention and enjoys being the light of the show. He is very outgoing, comfortable with everyone, seems very adaptable and stable. He is however, a strong boy with a strong personality. He would do better with someone able to establish positive leadership and provide him with a structured environment.

Frank has been a great addition to our program and is proving to be a dog full of promises.
