Foster Situation: We have four other dogs. Huck gets along well with the dogs in our home. Their interaction is always supervised. Huck is always friendly with visitors. He loves people and is an enthusiastic greeter.
Huck is good in a home with a fenced yard.
He enjoys going on car rides and does really well in the car. We have a leash just for Huck that prevents him from pulling too much, and he is easy to walk with it. The leash will go with him to his new home also.
Huck sleeps in our bedroom with all of our other dogs. He has a pillow on the ground that he really likes.
I think Huck would enjoy being in a house with a friendly female dog, or as an only pet. He would certainly enjoy children, though he sometimes jumps up when excited so he could possibly knock small children down.
Training: Huck can sit on command and is house trained. I leave him in a crate when we are not home, but I honestly do not think he would get into much if we left him out. I have never caught him chewing on anything, and he has yet to have an accident in the house while living with us.
Huck wants to make you happy always, and is usually very responsive. He can get excited and jump up when you first come home, but will stop when told down.
Personality: Huck is a very fun-loving dog who just wants to make you happy. He loves to snuggle with you and will sleep in bed with you if allowed. He is a very well behaved dog. Huck is a good watch dog and will alert when people or dogs walk by the house, but if you ask him not to bark he will stop.
Huck is loving towards all humans, but is a big boy and could probably knock over a small child. Huck loves visitors, but will jump up so he needs to monitored when they arrive.
Huck is usually very calm, but when you first come home he is happy to see you.
Huck likes to play with the other dogs but he is dominant towards some. Huck likes to chase birds, squirrels, and cats.
Huck is a great dog. He is friendly and lovable. He always wants to please, and loves to spend time with you. Huck loves our dogs, and often times sleeps with one or two of them at a time. He likes to run around the back yard, then come in a take a nap on the couch. He is a good watch dog, but if there is no need to bark all you have to do is tell him no and he goes about his business. Huck loves ice cubes he thinks they are a great treat. He is a super nice cuddle pouch and he has been a wonderful member of our family.
Best Attribute: Huck has had a tough start it seems, but he loves people none the less. He is such a loving dog and always can make you smile. He is also a very handsome boy, and his liver color is very unique and attractive.
