Jeremiah was rescued from the city pound when he ran out of time. We met him at the shelter and were very impressed by his friendly disposition and good looks and did everything we could to give him a chance in our program.
Jerry, the HERO!
Our very own Jerry is a hero. On Friday, November 18, 2011 he donated his blood for a blood transfusion and saved the life of Sarah, a white German Shepherd.... Way to go Jerry, the hero :-)
Living Situation: Jerry lives in a foster home with other dogs. He does great with everyone and would do well sharing his home with a friendly female.
Jerry always lights up when he sees children and lets all the kids in the neighborhood pet him.
He loves running around the fenced in yard. He also enjoys car rides and likes watching everything go by him! Jerrry sleeps in his crate at night, but definitely would prefer to be snuggling with his favorite human!
Training: Jerry has learned the basic commands such as sit, stay, down and wait. He is a quick learner and is pretty eager to please his people. He is housebroken. He is also crate trained but would prefer to be out following his person around! He pulls a little when he is on the leash but we are teaching him how to walk nicely.
Personality: Jeremiah is very affectionate and sweet. He is always happy to see new people. He loves to cuddle and will lean into you when you pet him. He is a fairly easy dog but has a little seperation anxiety. He just doesn’t like to be alone! So far he has done great with everyone he has met, including children. For the most part he is pretty lazy. He is also afraid of storms but is ok if someone is with him.
Best Attribute: Jerry’s best attribute is his unlimited capacity to love! He just loves his people and will do almost anything just to be near you! He will make a great companion!
