Dear V & Nick,

I just wanted to give an update on our sweet baby Kiara. We kept her name since she responds well to it when she chooses to listen. She has a mind of her own and is quite the unique little lady. Very excitable and enthusiastic, we are working with her on her listening skills and her nibbling is nearly gone. Although she is a canine kissing machine! She loves to give a bath with kisses constantly, which we're trying to tone her down some. She gets excited when she meets new people and jumps on them to greet them until we remind her of her manners. We are working to provide her with a positive structured environment so we can raise a well-behaved lady we can be proud of to interact with other people.

She absolutely loves to play tug of war with her big rope and we've taught her to bring it back and drop it after she wins. We also bought her a big rubber Kong ball with the hopes of teaching her to play ball together, but when that ball gets to bouncing it gets her all too excited to listen or remember to bring it back to us. Jon takes her on several walks a day and on weekends we all go together on nature trails to give her variety. She's doing well on learning to walk on a leash beside us.

She's very good about sleeping at night in our room with us and she's only had 2 accidents inside the house since we've had her. Her favorite spot is napping on the cushy couch while we watch tv. She's also very good at giving hugs and shakes hands with us when we say "friends". She still hasn't quite got the hang of sit and stay. She's very smart, but very easily distracted and only chooses to sit when we can get her full undivided attention.

And here's a fun little tidbit - one of her favorite treats besides her Scooby Snacks is ICE CUBES! Whenever we're filling our glass she will patiently wait for one to drop - so now we always just toss her one and enjoy watching her lick it until it's gone.

Her addition has now made us one big happy family. We will continue to provide her with positive leadership so she can grow into being a well-mannered young lady. I'm doubly happy to have helped a worthy cause I believe in by adopting from MPR and I spread the word of your organization daily. Every pet bull and every family who's adopted one of yours believes in all you do . I personally want to thank every single person involved (people behind the scenes who I have not met) who makes every adoption possible. Their hearts speak a thousand words of kindness towards us all. Keep up the self-less good fight - it DOES NOT go unnoticed.

Proud to be a Fellow Pet Bull Lover -

Sincerely, Riccarda & Jon

Beautiful Kiara

Kiara is a gorgeous puppy with a beautiful coat pattern. Her pictures don't really capture her amazing coloration. it is light yellow-gold with black stripes - She looks just like a little tiger.

Cute Girl | Kiara sits | Silly face

Kiara is outgoing, very friendly, confidant, well behaved and very well socialized. She is fostered in a home with several other dogs and does well with all of them. She also gets supervised playtime with other dogs during the day as her foster dad, who works in a dog boarding facility, takes her to work with him everyday. Kiara meets a tone of people and is always thrilled to make new friends. She really is a well adjusted puppy with a great disposition and personality.

Little tiger | Sweet Face | Goofy girl

Kiara is housebroken and crate trained. She has great house manners, loves to cuddle on the couch, is very affectionate and loves attention.

Waiting for her home

When it comes to other dogs Kiara loves to play but is somewhat dominant. She could be placed with a friendly and playful male in a home with someone familiar with the breed and who knows how to supervise Pit bulls. Kiara would do better in a home with a secure fenced yard. 6 foot privacy fence is preferred. Her foster dad says that she is very obedient and responsive, but should not be left outside unsupervised, which is the case for most Pit Bulls.

Little tiger in the water!

This super cute pup should make a great companion to just about anyone. She is still young enough to adapt quickly to her new life, but over the annoying puppy stage where housebreaking is a challenge. She is happy-go-lucky and full of spirit. When she's not playing, she loves noting more than a good cuddling session in front to the TV. Oh, and she loves to give kisses!
