Rescued from the pound as she was running out of time. We still cant believe someone didn't snatch this sweetheart.... Marshmallow is incredibly sweet, not to mention amazingly pretty..... Maybe it's because of a minor genetic condition? Marshmallow appears to have partial albinism.
Albinism is a genetic disorder characterized by a complete or partial lack of melanin, or pigment, in eyes, skin and hair. This lack of pigmentation can cause associated conditions such as vision and/or hearing impairments.
Marshmallow is indeed deaf and might have a very mild vision impairment. Nothing that prevents her from being a loving companion, quite the contrary.... We just cant stress enough how sweet she is....
When we found out about her condition and her sad situation on deathrow, we knew we had to help her. We managed to make room in the program to give her a chance at a better life filled with love.
Foster Situation: Marshmallow is now settling in at MPR's mini-shelter. We still can't believe what a sweetheart she is! The volunteers are in love with her ... she's ABSOLUTELY IRRESISTIBLE!!!!
Personality: Very sweet, loving and cuddly... Yet playful, outgoing and happy spirit. She loves nothing more than to cuddle on the couch, and we mean it!!
