The ollie is an aerial skateboarding trick, invented by Alan "Ollie" Gelfand in 1978. When doing an ollie, the skateboarder leaps into the air bringing the board in without using their hands. The board appears to magically lift with the feet remaining in contact with the board throughout the jump.

March 10, 2010 UPDATE: Just letting you know that Mr. Ali (Ollie) is going great!!! My boyfriend changed the spelling, go figure! haha. Since it has been nice out, he just suns himself outside on the porch, sometimes refusing to come in. Although sometimes I think he misses the snow... he loveddd running in the snow!! Him and Cardi love each other, we say they are boyfriend/girlfriend instead of brother and sister, they sleep together, bathe each other, and eat out of the same food bowl instead of eating out of their own. They are too cute. He is a hyper little feller, if we don't take them on walks after work, they go crazy! We take em to pet smart once a week too, to pick out bones. He has put on 20lbs since we got him! We only feed him twice a day too!
He has been loving life. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!

Ollie was pulled from a local shelter where he was on death row. We are so glad we found him when we did!
Ollie is as sweet as he is handsome. He is nicknamed Shadow because he truly believes he is one. He is always a step behind, where ever you may lead! He is always happy and always tends to have a 'pittie' smile on his face!
It seems as though Ollie has had some kind of training in his former life. He is very eager to please! He knows how to sit and how to wait his turn to go out the door. He walks well on a leash with just occasional corrections. He hasn't had any accidents and seems to be house broken and crate trained. He does well with female dogs when introduced correctly.
Ollie LOVES to play! He thinks that anytime is a good time to play tag or chase. He easily forgets how big and strong he really is! Ollie benefits from being on the "No free lunch" program and daily exercise is a MUST with this boy!
UPDATE November 26, 2009 - I am just letting you know everything is going SO great with Ollie!! :) He is the best dog ever!! He gets along great with us, our pup, and our cats! Him and Bacardi came with us to Kevin's families and he loved everyone and everyone loved him. He fits in perfect with our family. He especially loves the back yard! Him and Bacardi sleep in our bed too, it's a little squished, but it's only fair that he gets to sleep with us since Cardi does. haha (spoiled)

He is an awesome dog. I am attaching some pictures already. He sleeps next to my boyfriend every night, it's hilarious how he sleeps. He is a big cuddler. We take him on walks all the time, we both take turns which dog we take so they get used to both of us. We tried playing fetch with him as Cardi likes fetch, but he wants nothing to do with it. He just likes to chase Bacardi when she is running. We got him his matching collar like Bacardis too. I think it fits him well. :) They are both rubbing off on each other, he is teaching Bacardi to go to the door to go to the bathroom, and she is teaching him bad habits such as taking bones from each other and running with them, not good, we're trying to break them of that. haha. He puts up with a lot from her, as she is only 5 months old she still likes to pick a lot. Other than that, things are going great!! Thank you again for a great dog!!
