March 16, 2010 UPDATE: I have to say that everything is perfect!! Well, he is a bit of a chewer, and we've found minor house destruction... he also likes to pull the gutters off of the house, and drag them around the yard. haha. Perfect! He's very tenacious, of course, but listens ultimately. He does need more manners, but now that the weather is better, we can spend time with him on the leash, which always helps at home too... but he's not bad. He's actually the smartest dog I've ever had!

He and Buttercup love each other. She's definitely the obvious alpha... he rough houses her, and she gives it right back! We do not worry about them playing AT ALL. Perfectly comfortable. :)

We've pretty much eliminated the dog fart issue... WOW. That was pretty bad. I now have them on Royal Canin, which his tummy seems to like, and both dogs eat it just fine. I wanted to wait until he'd eaten the Nutro a few weeks to see if he was receptive, and the gas was just not going away, so I gradually switched them to the Royal Canin... and we're sticking with it!

I would venture to say that he probably weighs in the range of 75 lbs now. He put on a LOT of weight, and is solid and incredibly active. They run and play for most of the day. :)

Thank you SO MUCH again. We are thrilled with this boy, despite the snoring and loud dramatics when he sleeps. :) He's awesome.

    Regards, Suzy

January 16, 2010 UPDATE: We are thrilled that we met with your approval! I attached a photo to show you how much they are arguing. ha ha. Buttercup is getting better at telling him when she wants to stop playing. We are fortunate to have such a great sized yard, which really keeps Buttercup occupied... they have a BLAST out there. He has a kind look in his eyes, and I have to say I really think he is closer to 1 than 1 and a half... he looks very puppy... AND they JUST NOW finally stopped playing, and are asleep. Whew!! Again, I thank you, and we are excited about our new adventure!! ;)

    Regards, Suzy
