Foster Situation: She is fostered with a 2 year old male amstaff pit. We have fenced yard and take her on leash walks in town and she is doing better on the lead. She actually did very well yesterday and did less barking at the other dogs. She loves to ride in the car/truck. Silver would do best in a home with no other pets so she can soak up all the loving.
Training: Silver is a quick learner. The first week she would barely sit on command, now she sits almost every time on command. We have been working on making her earn her petting, food, toys, treats, etc... by sitting and it has worked fast. We have also been making her wait to go outside and inside until we enter first. She responds well to structure and is very responsive to her training. She can be stubborn at times and with a little training, she will be GREAT!
Personality: Silver is very outgoing and enjoys visitors. She loves to play keep away with her toys and is very adorable. She also can entertain herself if needed. She does not seem to be afraid of anything (vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, thunder, dark basement, other dogs even big dogs).
Best Attribute: Silver's best attribute is her easy going personality. She also loves to play with her toys. She will run up to you with her toy and wait for you to grab it and then run behind the couch. She will repeat this and it is so funny. When you are done playing with her, she will very easily entertain herself if needed. She also loves to sit with you and enjoys being petted. You may have a wet face when you are done, but well worth it. :)
