Fun-loving Spuds & Eclipse Were Adopted

Hello,
I am just letting you know that Spuds is great! He is a sweetheart and we love him. He behaves wonderfully around our cats, Ignoring them for the most part. He even seems a little afraid of our big male cat, and tries to avoid crossing his path.

I want to get some pictures to you of him playing with his deflated vollyball (it was fully inflated before he started playing with it!!). He likes to grab it and do laps around the yard with it in his mouth, then stop and shake it, and play tug of war with it. Very cute. His all time favorite activity though, is cuddling on the couch, and giving hugs!

We love to show him off. People seem suprised about how nice and sweet he is. It is hard for them to believe that his attitude is not atypical of the breed.

We will send you some pictures soon. Thanks again for everything, and we will keep you posted on Spuds.

Update 3/21/05:
I just wanted to drop everyone a line and give you an update on Spuds. He is doing great, we have him enrolled in classes with a group called Domesti-Pups, they train service/therapy dogs. If all goes well he will have his Canine Good Citizen, and will also be a certified therapy dog. We think he will make a good therapy dog as he never can soak up enough love to fill him up! I will try and get some pictures to you, but i never seem to have the camera on me when photo ops occur!

Update 10/05:

Eclipse is now Spud's sister!

Congratulations to her and her new family.

Beautiful Spuds | Gorgous Boy

What a sweetheart! This little guy is so sweet and friendly he's totally irresistible. Talk about cute and charming. He is a perfect example of the best the breed has to offer. We still don't understand why no one came looking for him after he was picked up as a stray by animal control. He seems to have been a well cared for family pet and was already neutered.

Good Spuds | Adorable boy

Spuds is very much a people-dog and he thrives on attention. He was transferred to a foster home recently and has been doing wonderful.

Good Looking boy | Loving Spuds

Spuds gets along with other dogs and loves to play with them. Like with any pit though, roughhousing should always be supervised. He is fostered in a home with several other dogs and two kids. He was also introduced to cats and did very well.

Cute Guy | Sweet Face | Spuds Sits

This little guy is gorgeous! He is perfectly built and proportionate. He has a beautiful buckskin coat, very muscular and stocky body, and a beautiful head with a sweet face full of loving expressions. He is very conform to the breed standard, inside out.

Laying Down | Cute Spuds | Sweet Eyes

Spuds is very eager to please and responsive, although he tries hard to be a lap dog and doesn't give up his efforts easily. He's quite needy of attention and therefore not a dog for someone looking for an independent pet. He is quite submissive and would do better with gentle and patient owners. Spuds is the kind of dog that will attach himself to his new owners with all his little heart. He will do everything he can to be part of the family and earn his spot as "everyone's best friend".

"Please adopt me...."

Spuds is completely housebroken, crate trained, and has very good house manners. This boy is the happiest when someone spends time with him.
