The neighbor across the street who also had a pit that we had helped agreed to take Stetson so that he wouldn't have to go to animal control. she did a good job with him and he put on weight and was doing well. Unfortunately this woman ended up having to go to a domestic violence shelter and Stetson was once again left with no one. We couldn't let him go to animal control, so we went and picked him up.
He is great with other dogs, fine with cats and crate-trained. He loves people. Stetson is a very happy-go-lucky boy that just acts like the big puppy that he is. We think he is about 1 1/2 yrs. old. He is yearning for human contact and affection and would make a wonderful addition to any family! He is living in a kennel at Spay/Neuter Kansas City. If you could offer him a foster home, that would be awesome!
For a dog who was never treated very nicely, Stetson sure doesn't hold a grudge. He loooves people and has a remarkable disposition and personality.
Pretty Face | Gorgeous boy | Stetson loves car rides
Stetson was rescued by volunteers of the SNKC outreach program after being abandoned in a vacant yard. He is now staying at the vet clinic temporarily but cant stay there very long. Stetson needs a home or at least a foster home as soon as possible.
I'll be good for you
Stetson does well with other dogs, especially females, and is good with cats too. In fact, he's a little scared of cats. He's a young dog, healthy and in good shape. Though he doesn't show signs of sever abuse, someone might have had a heavy hand with him. His spirit is not broken at all but he is a little submissive and sensitive to corrections.
Goofball | Happy Boy | What-a-face | Smiling Stetson
We think that this fun-loving boy with the big pitty smile should make an all around great family pet. He doesn't have any issues and is very ready to give his whole heart to a lucky family.
