Thundra must come from a show-line. She looks like a mack truck but we swear, she as sweet as she looks impressive. In fact, this is one dog in our program we think could be at great risk of getting stolen if left unsupervised in someone's yard or in a car. Not only is she too sweet and friendly to be any kind of guard dog, she is the one who will need protection to make sure she never falls in the wrong hands again.
Big Pitty Smile | Show dog | So impressive | Beautiful eyes
Thundra is very calm and laid-back. She shows no aggression towards the dogs she has been exposed to through crates and kennels but she has not been formally introduced yet. So far it seems like not much bothers her. She took her ordeal at the city pound like a champ and shelter life didn't break her spirit. She sure was glad to be out of there though and is now doing all she can to win someone's heart so she can become a cherished family companion and pampered princess.
Pretty Thundra | Cute Face | What Thundra thinks of previous owner
Thundra is staying in a temporary foster home for a few days but cant stay there much longer as the other dogs in home are not accepting her. There is a toddler in home and she is calm and gentle around him.
UPDATE: Even though the dogs wont be introduced, Thundra's foster home has decided to keep her during her heartworm treatment and until she founds a good home. They cant get over what a sweet, loving and easy she is. Thundra is rotated in crates and has been no trouble at all. She waits for her turn and behaves like a little lady. Thank to very generous donations, Thundra's treatment has been scheduled and the pretty princess should be out of the woods in just a few weeks.

THUNDRA is heartworm positive...!! |
Please help give Thundra a healthy heart. She has so much love to give.
Thundra tested positive to heartworm disease. MPR needs all the help we can get for her treatment. It will cost about about $250.00 to treat but the prognostic is good. Thundra should be out of the woods 6 weeks after the treatment. Once again, MPR is asking for assistance so we can help this precious girl. |
