Adorable | Pretty
Girl | "Treat for me?"
Tiramisu
cant believe her luck. She obviously never had a very good life.
Neglected, unloved, not well cared for, infested with parasites...
Maybe she tried to escape that sad life?
Pittie Smile | Cute Tira | Too Pretty
We
don't know but one day she found herself on deathrow at the
local pound and she thought that was it... Then a miracle happened
on her last day. A MPR volunteer visited the shelter on a mission
to save a few dogs. There was dozens of Pit Bulls just like
Tira sitting hopelessly in their cage so she figured her chances
were one in a million... Like all of them she pleaded the volunteer
with her eyes, wondering if she would ever be noticed... Her
wish came true!
Happy Girl | Silly Face
Her
cute face and friendly personality were definitely noticed and
Tira was accepted into MPR's program.

April 01, 2007 UPDATE:
I wanted to take the time to send a little update on Tiramisu, lovingly called Suzi Marie (at least that is what we call her when she is in trouble!). Suzi has been the most wonderful addition to our family and it feels like she has been a part of it a lot longer than 16 months. Suzi gets along incredibly well with her brothers, 7 year old Jack Russels, Luke and Duke. Suzi still sucks on her Powder Puff Girls blanket that her foster family gave me when we adopted her. It has faded to an off white because of how many times we have washed it!!
Suzi has been a complete joy and we couldn't imagine our life without her. From her sucking on her blanket, to the hugs and kisses, to the sad face she gives when being yelled at.
Thank you for rescuing our Suzi!!!

Gorgeous Girl | Good Sit | Fun-loving Tira
The
rest was like a dream.... Walking out the front door alive instead
of in the incinerator in the back is a chance very little Pit
Bull experience. Tira happily hopped in the rescue van with "5" other lucky dogs and landed in a large kennel
filled with treats, comfy blankets, food and toys, all cuddled
up the volunteer's arms... Had she died and gone to heaven?
Pretty face | Happy Girl
Tira
is now fostered in a home with two dogs (another Pit Bull and
a littler Yorkshire Terrier), as well as two children. She is
getting a ton of socialization, goes for walks everyday, petco
visits and enjoys family life with all her little heart.
"Please
take me home with you!"
A
note from Tiramisu's foster mom:
"Tiramisu
is doing great. She is getting along very well with her
foster brothers, as well as the the two dogs that live
in the houses around me. She has been good on a leash
going for walks alone and with both other dogs. I am crating
her when I am not home. She has free run of the house
and back yard when I am home and is doing well, no accidents.
Last night was the first night she was loose at night
and she slept right by the bed, snoring. She is absolutely
a fabulous dog and really a great size for anyone."
