| 8/24/2006 UPDATE: They are doing great! We actually changed their names. S'mores is now Major, and Tootsie is now Phoebe. These two play well together, eat together, go on walks together, sleep together. I actually had to start kenneling them together at night because Major would cry if she was not right next to him. They are so cute together and I'm really glad we decided to get them both. We had a buddy from MN come down to visit last weekend and he brought his two dogs. A 160lb great dane and a little beagle and these 4 were hilarious together! They are great with most of the people in the neighborhood and they do well with other dogs. I wish I could have every one from the resue living with me, but I'm a big sucker for these dogs. All is really well though and we are going to send some update pictures soon so you guys can see how funny they are. They have a very luxurious life here..lol. I even bought them a satin blanket for their kennel because I wanted it to be soft enough and comfortable. We look forward to sending pictures and thank you for checking up. Talk to you all soon. | Well look at that face!!! This silly monkey-face was adopted from a local shelter that was trying to pass her as something else. When the new owners realized she was a Pit Bull, they could not keep her as their apartment had a strong policy against the breed. MPR stepped in and Tootsie Roll is now safe. She is soooo cute!!! And let me tell you, she's quite relieved and happy to be given that precious chance. Tootsie Roll is about 6-8 months old. She gets along great with other dogs and is part of a large playgroup at the boarding facility. She is a wiggle-butt and a butt-runner. She loves to play but she is not hyper at all. In fact, she's quite calm and easy-going for a pup her age. |

Irresistible Face | Cutie | Big Smile | Is it a Frog??? Tootsie is about 35-40 Lbs. Her coat is a dark smokey chocolate. She looks adorable! You really have to see her in person. That under bite is to die for. We have taken her to several adoption events and Tootsie has been by far a favorite. She climbs on everyone's lap for kisses, rolls on her back for belly rubs and greets everyone who comes to meet her with all the love a puppy can give. Tootsie is fostered in a home with a young dog and a cat. She does great with everyone. She is learning good house manners and soaking it up. We just can't believe a sweetheart like her has not been adopted yet. The reason is probably because she doesn't look photogenic in pictures. In person however, she is a doll! So we just need to be patient and wait until she wins someone's heart. We know that to meet her is to love her so hopefully it won't be too long.
