Triumph is fostered in a home with a friendly female dog and he adores her. His foster mom claims that he is as good as they come. He is crate trained, housebroken and has great house manners. He's been around kids, including toddlers, and is very well behaved around them. We did find out that Triumph likes to chase cats and rabbits though, so we prefer a home with no small pets for this charming boy. We also think he'd do better in a home with a privacy fence.

Triumph
loves being pamper.
We believe it is the first time in his whole life that he is well cared for so he is soaking up all of this
love and attention like water in a desert.
Unfortunately, this boy with the big great smile has a huge strike against him... His past.... Most people we talk to about him are reluctant to adopt him because of what happened to him before. Ironically, Triumph doesn't show any more dog-aggression than a typical Pit Bull. Not only does he have to live with the scars of his past, but his history is now working against him when it comes to his finding a new home, too. How can we explain this to him???

So
Triumph is now hoping that someone will be able to look beyond
the scars and will not let his tragic past scare them away.
Dog-aggression is a very misunderstood trait with this breed.
Scars or not, it is a behavior that should be understood anyway.
The fact that Triumph had a terrible experience is just that,
a terrible experience. Not something he has any desire to experience
again. That said, he is a Pit Bull and therefore he needs to
be handled accordingly, just like any other dog in our program.
So
happy | So,
soooooo happy!!!
The
terrible ordeal he's been through before should not influence
anyone's decision. After all, it is not his fault he fell into
the hands of evil people. We now need to show him that not all
humans are heartless monsters. He is obviously very ready to
believe it already....
As
humans, we have a great lesson to learn from this forgiving
creature...
Triumph is fostered in an active foster home. This means that while his life is no longer in danger, as soon as he finds a good home, we will be able to rescue another dog who has no where to go and give him a chance to become a good family companion just like Triumph. Adopting Triumph will save two lives.. His, and the life of a dog sitting hopelessly on deathrow. waiting for his last days...
