5/22/06 Update:
Hey how are you? Trooper (with 2 o's). That is the only thing that we
decided to change. Just the spelling is different.
He is doing awesome, such a ham. He is a huge love bug that loves
attention. We love him so much. He is minding us quite well. He is
of course testing a little, but we are being as stubborn as he is with
everything. We have taken a few pictures and will send those as well
as soon as we can. He loves everyone he meets by the way, stranger
is not a word in his vocabulary.
Well, I will keep you posted with everything, thanks for the e-mail.

Starved
| Poor Precious Boy
This poor little guy was found scared and cold in the company of another dog, in the Kansas City streets. Unlike the other dog, Trouper was almost starved to death . He could barely stand anymore and was nothing but skin and bones. We were shocked to see how bad his condition was and yet, he loved everyone he met with all his little heart... .
Trouper was immediately taken to the vet where he received the medical attention he needed. He was then transferred to a foster home where he is recuperating from his ordeal and blossoming into an adorable little boy. Good looking too!

Getting some loving
|
|
After being so neglected its just amazing how much he craves and wants human attention. It doesn't matter what he is doing ... sleeping, walking, sitting ... he is touching you constantly.
He is doing very well with housebreaking and gets along great with the other dogs and cats in his foster home. We will update his bio soon and add pictures. Trouper is about 10 months old, black and white and not very large (although he is currently gaining much needed weight).
Will you take care of me forever, please?
| 4/14/2006 Update from his foster mom:
Trouper will follow my girls everywhere, but when it comes to dogs he
doesn't know ... he wants nothing to do with them. I think he is going to
take a long introduction if placed in a house with a female, due to his
reactions to females he comes a crossed in walks, and at the home I took
him too last week for a home check for KPR. He did great with the family
(of course he is an attention hog when it comes to his humans) but he
wanted zero to do with their puppy. Honestly I was a little shocked
cause of his attentiveness with my two girls. I know he has it in him to
be a great doggy sibling after watching him with my two, but I think he
is going to need to work up to it.
He has put on more weight...I call him my little sausage boy. He isn't
fat but he just is all thick throughout his chest and stomach - It's a
great improvement in how he looked when I got him.
A few other quirks... he thinks all the bones in the house should be
his, he will wait until Nilla or Calypso get up to wander then steal
their bones and put them in his special spot by the couch, then he picks
his favorite one at the moment (out of like 6 bones) and chews it while
he "lays" on all the rest so the girls cant get to them. Nilla gets a
little put off by this, but she waits for him to turn his head and steals
his favorite bone of the moment it's like a circus, constantly trying to
one up each other.
He truly is a good dog, and will make someone a wonderful addition to a
family, as long as they are willing to put the time in to gain his
trust.
