Soulful eyes | Lovable

Sweet as can be! This brave mama dog was confiscated from a cruelty case. She was only skin and bones when rescued by Animal Control but was giving all she had to her puppies. The little gang was now sitting hopeless on deathrow when MPR saw them. Once again, we bit the bullet and added 6 new dogs to our program.

Mom is a beautiful blue brindle young lady with cropped ears. She is very sweet and from the first day we met her, she welcomed anyone near her puppies. Never showed any sign of aggression towards people, even strangers and kids that were holding her newborn puppies. That said, she was very concerned about their well-being and always keeping a good eye on them. A wonderful mom!

Sweet Valkyrie | Pretty Lady | Relaxing

Valkyrie was recently transferred to a foster home with a young male and gets along great with him. She has great house manners and is very well behaved. She would do better in a home with a tall fenced yard, preferably privacy fence. She is a calm dog in the house, always eager to cuddle and give kisses. She's very sweet and very well behaved.

Here's a note from her foster mom: "Things are going great!!  Valkyrie has accepted my dog Luis as hers.  The first night she was home, we all fell asleep in bed together.  She has already jumped my fence, so I have her on a cable now.  She also bolted out the door twice, but she didn't go very far because she was interested in all the smells at the "smelly boys" neighbors house. 

She is more of a lover here than at the kennels if you can believe it.  Her and Luis do the butt run in the back yard until they are literally exhausted.  She is house trained....YAY!!  not one mess in the house and she goes as soon as I let her outside.  I can't imagine this going better!!  I'm so glad I could take her.  She seems to be very happy.  (There doesn't seem to be any food aggression even!  I accidentally left Luis' food out and they were both eating out of the same bowl like it was no big deal when I caught them.)"
