Man's cruelty and evilness will never cease to amaze us... What amazes us even more though, is the breed's amazing ability to forgive and forget...

Victory is a proof of the remarkable strength Pit Bulls demonstrate when faced with adversity. Nothing can break their spirit. Most Pit Bulls cant wait to move on and keep loving despite the incredible abuse many of them suffer at the hands of subhuman monsters.

Vicky is about 3 years old. Someone "recently" butchered her ears in an extraordinary act of cruelty. The mutilation was probably done with scissors, maybe in someone's basement and most likely without anesthesia and proper veterinary care.

Her ears are gone! Completely chopped off her head.... YET, this sweetheart adores people... Unbelievable..

Victory sure could teach us all a lesson. While we wish hell upon the two-legged creature who did this to her, she just wants to move on, make new friends and give kisses.... She doesn't hold a grudge and her love for people has not been damaged by her ordeal. Wish we could all say the same.... ;-)

    Fist day with MPR

Victory not only lost her ears at the hand of some heartless barbarian, she was also kept on a big chain outside, starving, freezing, in pain, in sub-zero temperature. Yet, she never lost her smile... And they say Pit Bulls are monsters... Go figure...

    Victory is heartworm positive...!!

Please help give Victory a healthy heart. She has so much love to give.

As if loosing her ears in such terrible act of cruelty was not enough, Victory tested positive to heartworm disease. MPR needs all the help we can get for her treatment. It will cost about about $200.00 to treat but the prognostic is good. Victory should be out of the woods 6 weeks after the treatment. Once again, MPR is asking for assistance so we can help this precious soul. but those God only knows how much she deserves it...

We know we ask a lot and often.... We wish we could go at least a month without begging... But those sad cases just keep coming... One after another one... Endlessly.... We can't do it without your help....

Victory has found a foster home and she is loving every minute of her new life. Her foster mom says that she looooves cushions and being pampered like a little princess. Sure beats life in the streets or chained to a tree.

Too Sweet | Adorable Vicky | Still cute

Victory is very petite brindle girl. About 43 Lbs or so. Compact and athletic, she is full of love for life. While she doesn't seem too preoccupied with other dogs, we think she would do great in a home as the only pet. She is very much a people-dog and can't get enough love and attention. She is responsive though and will lay down quiet after she gets her "fix" of hugs and kisses.

    A word from Victory:

"Hi, it's me Victory. I heard my idol Courtney call me Vicky, but my temp foster mom refuses to call me that cuz she thinks its too much like a human. And I don't know about you, but she says there aren't many Vicky's walkin around without their ears. She's a wack job, this foster mom... I heard her on the phone saying maybe "Clipper" or "Chopper" would describe me better, but that I was too sweet for those names.

Victory matches well because we all know I will overcome, even with those nasty heartworms I have. I have a new flashy red collar that matches my scabs. I can't wait until my nubs heal. People think odd things about pitties, but I can't help wonder about the human who did this to me. Maybe they weren't feeling well, a bad case of heartworms themselves, and they must've just eaten their heart away.

Obviously, that human had a genetic defect. Thank goodness for the rest of them that aren't like that. So, I try not to judge. Sometimes you just don't know what makes people snap.  I'm lucky there are so many good people out there willing to help me.  I feel the love and curl up contently in my kennel while it's my turn to be crated.  Sometimes I practice my high pitch opera voice just to let my human and fellow canine in the house know that I am still here and vocal, but then I lie down and rest. I've heard about this crate and rotate stuff and it sure beats the streets, I tell ya!

    ~ Victory

    A word from foster mom:

John and I are very happy to have her here. We put together the crate and she gladly walked in and out of it with no trouble. We put her in there while we ran up to Petco and got some items to make her feel comfortable and welcome in her new home. She has a new fancy water and food dish and some fun toys. We got the Kong you suggested and it came with treats that you put inside.

She also got a big pillow bed that we put in the living room and she absolutely loves it. :) She only leaves it long enough to follow John into the kitchen. I get the feeling that she has already found a new best friend. I thought I would be the favorite, but apparently, Victory likes to flirt with boys! :) She has been more well behaved than I could have imagined... especially on the first night in new, strange surroundings.

    ~ Julie
