Wally Walrus, aka "The Dude", aka "The Big Lebowsky" had been sitting hopeless at the city pound for more than a month when MPR bailed him out. We still don't understand how come no one had adopted such outstanding dog. He is as good looking as he is well behaved and charming...

We are so glad to have such gentleman of a dog in our program now. We have no doubt Wally is going to make someone a wonderful companion. He has a lot to offer.

Foster Situation: Wally is currently living at MPR's shelter. He is crate trained and housebroken. Our shelter is located in a private home so Wally is given a chance to show off is good house manners.

There are several other dogs in the home and Wally does very well with them. We believe he'd be great in a home with a friendly and easy-going female.

Training: Though Wally is an easy dog in general, he doesn't know much commands at this point. We are working on it but he's pretty easy-going and doesn't need to be a circus dog to be a good companion. That said, he definitely is a clown by nature!

Personality: A big lovable goof! Wally is very easy-going and doesn't let anything bother him. He is affectionate without being too needy. He just likes to hang out and enjoy life with a smile. "Don't sweat the small stuff" is his motto.

We have taken Wally to several adoption events and he is one of the best behaved and easy-dog to handle. We tihnk he'd make a great companion even for someone who never had a pit bull before. He's just an all around easy-going, easy-to-handle and easy-to-love dog.
