SPECIAL PLEAS SUMMER 2005
MPR needs your help... |
|
|
Once again MPR is encountering big expenses and we could use a hand, especially now that we have so many dogs for the summer.... Please help us...
|
We have several special needs right now. For one thing, parasite season is here. We would like to keep our rescue dogs on a product called "REVOLUTION" - This is the most convenient to protect the dogs against commune parasites, such as heartworm's, fleas, ticks, mites, etc. We like to buy the product in bulk to get a substantial discount. $500.00 is the cost of each bulk and it lasts us a few months. |
| THANK YOU BullyBoy Tattoo Studio. Your generous donation will allow us to protect our dogs against dangerous and annoying parasites and increase their quality of life. The MPR dogs send their licks to everyone at the studio! |
|
We also need DOG HOUSES!!! Thanks to a generous donation we now have access to 6 new kennels to help Pit Bulls in need. We need dog houses for those kennels.
Our favorite: Indigo® Igloo dog house: This top-of-the-line igloo shaped doghouse has an extended doorway to improve rain resistance and offers lounging space for extra-large dogs. Structural foam construction is "Warmer in winter, cooler in summer. Adjustable top ventilation. Don't forget the optional door and pad!

We currently have a few dogs with medical needs. Not all of them are mentioned below. We need financial assistance in order to help all those dogs.... Please help us make a difference... |
GUARDIAN ANGELS NEEDED!
|
June 5th 2005: Meet Chimichanga... A very sweet boy rescued from a difficult life, filled with neglects and poor care. It was not Chimi's good looks or attractive coat color that caught our attention at the shelter... It was Chimi's eyes.... They said so much about this boy's difficult past, and yet, how much he loved people... Unfortunately Chimi tested positive for Heartworms and we promised him we would do all we can do raise the money to treat him.
We need about $200.00 to cure Chimi of that nasty disease. He is low positive so the treatment should be simple and successful. Please help this sweet boy start his new life with a healthy heart....
Update: 08/17/05: Chimi's nasty heartworm's are gone and he is now smiling at life with all his "healthy" heart. This sweet boy owes his life to all of you who cared so much and donated to treat him. In his name, we thank you from the bottom of our heart! |
|
June 25th 2005: There you go... Our second Heartworm case this summer. This little boy is much smaller so we hope to be able to treat for about $150.00 or so.... Popsicle has been transferred to a foster home and we will post more info about him as soon as we can. In the meantime, any help we can help to treat him and Chimi would be greatly appreciated. We cant do it alone.... Please help us help those deserving dogs...
Update: 08/17/05: Poppy got his treatment a few weeks ago and is doing wonderful. Because it was a low positive and we did not wait to treat him he will not keep any sequels of his ordeal. Thank you so much for helping save his life. |

August 01, 2005: We are devastated! One of our favorite little guy tested positive for Parvo. His chances are limited but we are going to do all we can to save his life. With parvo, the prognostic is usually about 50/50. We have fallen in love with this little guy. He might only be a mini-pit, he has a huge heart full of love. Please help us save his life.... Cost of Guinness' medical care; $700.00 Update: 08/07/05: Guinness made it! He was finally declared "out of the woods" by the vet this morning. He is very weak and has lost a lot of weight but his spirit is good. He will be fine. We want to tell everyone helping us with his care a huge thank you. We could have never saved his life without you...
Update: 08/17/05: Guiness is completely back on his feet... you could never tell he came so close to losing his life. He is now as happy and healthy as can be thanks to all your precious help! |
