This big girl was found as a stray by a nice Samaritan. Brownie is such a nice girl. She not only won the heart of her savior, but she has also become a favorite with the kennel staff. She keeps her cage clean and makes great efforts being a good dog as if she knew it would help her find a home. She loves to get hugs and lay her big head on your lap. Brownie longs for a family of her own and kennel life is hard on her. She is a real trouper about it though and doesn't cause any problems. We can't believe her family never looked for her. Brownie appears to have been a cherished pet at some point. She was already spayed when found and very well fed. She has all the great manners of a well cared for pet. We just don't understand what happened to her. In any case, we know that she will make someone a great companion. |

Brownie sit | Cute Face | Side view Brownie is a very strong dog and she needs leash training. We think a "Gentle Leader" type of collar would work great with her. Other than that, Brownie seems ready to be the perfect family member. She is bigger than a Pit Bull and we think she might be an American Bulldog, or maybe an AB/Pit. She is easy going and doesn't jump. Brownie has not been tested with other dogs and cats yet, but we plan to do it shortly. She doesn't show aggression towards the dogs next to her at the kennel. This sweet and friendly gal is ready to go home and only needs a nice family that will welcome her into their heart now. She promises to be a very loving and loyal companion. |
