Cocoa is one lucky girl! She sure found a one in a million family in Minessota and has been living the life of a queen with her new brother Ruffus, her who started life on such a difficult note.

A special thanks to Shelly, Gill and roomates who fostered Cocoa until a good home was found.

Here's a little note from her. Cocoa has kept me updated almost every month since she began her wonderfull new life with Adrian and Sheila.

"Hello to my the fabulous Aunties who saved my life! I am doing great and wanted to say Happy Dog Week. I went on the walk to raise money for the Humane Society today. There was about 150 other dogs and I was such a good girl. I only wore my muzzle for about 15 minutes then mom and dad said I was so good I could go without it. My pinch collar prevented me from pulling my dad all the way to Missouri! I even met another Pit Bull named Brandy. Her mom has heard of PBRC and said the website is awesome. I walked three miles and earned a pet bandanna. I'm such a good girl, and darn good looking too! Hope you are all doing well. Tell my foster cousins I said hello. My mom and dad send their continued thanks and best wishes. If you are ever out this way be sure to look us up, we would love to see you. Lots of sloppy pitty kisses..." Cocoa Jo Hoff

Cocoa

"Just a brief Cocoa update. Of course, she is an angel and is doing very well. She has really become "beefy" and if you didn't know her she looks pretty intimidating. She has started to bark at strange noises and cars, but of course licks any company we have practically to death. She just loves people. I did find out, she hates the car wash! I took her with me through the drive through car wash and the poor little girl was petrified. She jumped in my lap and was shaking :(

As you know, July was her 6 month anniversary with us. Never have I had a dog that brings so much joy. I couldn't love her anymore! She has fit into our lives and hearts as if she belonged there from the start. Rufus is a naughty boy but they are getting along famously . He respects and looks up to his big sister. She is getting along better with the cats but still looks at them like food more than I feel safe with. She has started really protecting her house. There is nothing quite so intimidating as Cocoa with her shackles raised, growling. I wouldn't come to my house if I was a stranger. She just has to learn to not wag her tail when she growls. Anyway, I hope all is going well in your Pit Bull endeavors. We could never thank you enough for the joy and love Cocoa has brought to our lives. From Adrian, Cocoa, Rufus and I, Thank you!"
