Copper's adoption day: Saturday, September 09, 2000

Copper was adopted by a wonderful family in Missouri. We are so happy for her! The adoption went really well, and Copper impressed everyone with her friendly attitude and how well she integrated to her new gang. She just fit right in, and knew just how to make herself welcomed by everyone.

"We are all having so much fun with her! She has fit right in to her new family! Did Rob tell you how great she is doing in dog class? She is learning really fast! And she doesn't pay any attention to the other dogs, she has only looked twice at a boxer, he wasn't very nice to begin with, so that was okay. Tiffany :=)

She will now live with her HUGE new brother Homer (St-Bernard/Mastiff) who could not resist her silly charm. Looks like these two will be best friends.

Relaxing in the shade

Even Charlie (12 yr old PitBull) was very stoic about this new arrival in her home. We believe she will appreciate that this new gal in town will keep Homer busy so she can enjoy her quiet naps on the couch.

Update: March 2001 was a very difficult month for the McBee Family. Old Charlie left for the rainbow bridge at 13 years of age. Sadly, Homer followed her not long after. After many tears and grieving, Copper's family have opened their heart to a new member. Beautiful Oreo will never replace Charlie and Homer in their heart, but he is bringing smiles and joy to his new family, and helping them cope with their losses.

Copper
"I have a new home, YEAH!"

Copper is a real sweetie, and will make her new family very happy I'm sure. She's her happiest when cuddling on someone's lap and made that clear to her new dad very quickly. She already loved everyone when we left her, and the feeling was reciprocal. She made herself at home right away and was even good with Sugar, the cat.

A special thanks to Andy and Clayton who fostered Copper until a good home was found.
