MPR is currently organizing a cool poker tournament to help us raise much needed funds for Pit Bulls in need. Location and date will be determined soon. Expect the tournament to be late April or early May.

| The year 2007 started on a good note for MPR dogs :-) Several Happy Endings/New Beginnings in January and February. Jujube & Skor were adopted together and are now known as "Bonny & Clyde". Polkadot also found a great home as well as Heinz, Rolo and Pearl. See 2007 Happy Endings here. |
"Blaze [aka, Courage] has been a fantastic addition to our family. He gets along great with our 5 kids and Golden Retriever and is a perfect gentleman. I used him as an "ambassador" at the College of Veterinary Medicine 's Open House last year, greeting visitors at the front door of the teaching hospital. I had a sign next to our table that introduced him as having come from the Missouri Pit Bull Rescue and invited folks to come get to know him. We had over 2000 visitors that day. He was, as always, well-mannered and I think he changed several people's perception of pit bulls. I hope to do the same again this year. I'm attaching a few pictures of him. Thanks for all you are doing for MPR and I'll plan to make a donation." Carolyn
