Breed
Specific Legislation (BSL)
In
Mission, Kansas, the breed ban on Pit
bulls has been repealed!!
Urge
your local city or county representatives
to support non-breed specific vicious
dog laws, which require responsible
ownership of all dogs and do not limit
the laws based on breed.

“Pet” Bull
of the Month
We
still can't get over how sweet this
little boy is. He has had such a hard
life... He definitely doesn't hold
a grudge to humans though. He loves
people, loves attention and loves hugs
and kisses. He really is a lover!
It
breaks our heart to think of the neglect
a sweet dog like him had to endure.
How someone can mistreat such a loving
creature is unimaginable. Sadly, this
is the reality of many Pit Bulls...
We can only hope that someone will
open their heart to Frodo and prove
to him that not all humans are bad.
Frodo
is currently awaiting his forever
home in a boarding facility because
our
foster homes are too full to take
him. Won’t you give Frodo a
chance at a new life with your family?
If
you are interested in Frodo, please
visit our web site www.mprgroup.net to learn more about him and our other
available dogs for adoption, and fill
out an application

Volunteer of the Month!
Marisol
is a professional Financial Analyst who joined
MPR team in fall 2002. Marisol was so inspired
by MPR and the Pit Bull cause that she relocated
from Nebraska to Missouri so she could get
more involved with the organization.
Marisol
is an active foster home for MPR but her primary
function with the group is to take care of
our finances and nonprofit paperwork. She was
integral in obtaining the 501(c)(3) status
for MPR this month!
We
are so happy to have accomplished this task
with Marisol’s help. Now all donations
made to MPR are fully tax deductible!!! Thanks
Marisol! |

Happy
Endings: An Adoption Story
Levi
is a beautiful Blue Pit Bull. Perfectly beautiful,
perfectly loving, how in the world this dog
was never claimed by his owner at the shelter
is beyond all comprehension. But that's what
happened to poor Levi....
He
was actually on his way to the euthanasia room
when the shelter manager decided to give us
a call. We had no more room but managed to
squeeze him in. Needless to say, Levi was saved
by the bell....
Levi
found his forever home this month with Brock,
a wonderful person who saw the beauty and potential
in this great dog. Levi is now soaking up the
love and affection he so deserves in his new
home!!!
For
questions about adopting a pit bull, or more
information about MPR, please see our web site
www.mprgroup.net, we’d love to hear from
you! |
