The "Sponsor A Dog" programs have made a world of difference for our rescue dogs. Even if you cant adopt, you can still save a life....
Our sponsor programs allow us to buy good quality food for the dogs in our care, to spare no expense for parasite management, to assure essential medical needs, to buy crates, extra toys, treats, supplies, etc. Without it, we would not be able to help as many dogs.

What Happens to the Dogs No One Wants?
|
Once in a while there comes a time when an “unadoptable” dog needs safe sanctuary because they may have long-term major medical issues or behavior challenges no protential adopter wants to take on, or are senior dogs that no one wants, or a dog MPR has taken in and worked with but was decided that the dog would not be a good prospect for MPR's adoption program. It's MPR's wish to help them live out their lives in a safe situation so MPR has developed a sanctuary program for their care. The dogs on this page are not a part of MPR's adoption program.
MPR's Pibble Sanctuary provides lifetime care and shelter for those dogs that have very special needs. Rather than emphasizing adoption, MPR's Pibble Sanctuary provides them a homelike setting where the dogs can enjoy the remainder of their lives in a comfortable, loving atmosphere.
MPR's Pibble Sanctuary relies solely on donations and does not receive any state, city, or federal funding. Donations are what keep the sanctuary program going and give us the opportunity to help the special needs pit bulls that need our help. Together, we will all make a positive difference in the lives of these special needs pit bulls. Your donation, of any amount, is truly appreciated.
